Hi, Great work, you have.

re: [link]

(not an MM member, or I'd comment there)

Channels are fine, but you can do additive layers with linear dodge, or even screen. They are identical (identical only in this case of 3 layers with no channels in common)

Subtractive CMY layer mixing is done with the multiply blend mode

Wow, that's GREAT information. Thanks so much for contributing, I'll post your message on MM right away!

Hallo Mike,

I Hope I´m allowed to call you mike ;)?!

I like your work and specialy painting with the light. I´m going to be assistens for web and print design and in my leasure time I work on my own projekts.

Enought of my person ;)
I hope you can help my or better tell me how I can paint the light and what I have to care about.

Sry for my bad english.

Rob

Sure Rob, painting with light (aka dodge and burn) is done on a new layer filled with 50% grey set to soft light or overlay. Paint with white or black on low opacity to paint light and shadows.

You must have some understanding of the way light hits form, so I'd recommend taking up drawing and digital painting.

Here's a tutorial on the subject: [link]

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you very much:)

I thought you won´t answer but you did!
It helps a lot and I will try somethings like this on my next projekt.

Thanks again and fell free if you have questions^^
I´m joking.

Best regards, Rob
